It was over 92 years ago when John Malcolm Gillies began servicing the fishing tackle industry to satisfy the needs of the fishing public with local hand tied trout flies. From those humble beginnings J.M.Gillies evolved and began to distribute fly fishing tackle before it moved into general fishing tackle, firearms and other sporting goods.

Legendary Aboriginal lure expert Lance Butler spends thousands of hours on the water every year fine tuning and developing the most innovative and specialist lures in the world.

All lures are constructed from the highest quality materials and fittings and all are vigorously tested to ensure they perfectly perform fish after fish. More recently, J.M.Gillies acquired the Wigston’s Lures company in Tasmania Australia, who have been manufacturing the world famous Tasmanian Devil lures for 50 years.
