SCOTTY DOWNRIGGER BOMBS

When trolling for gamefish, many gamefishermen work only the surface waters, particularly if they are ‘towing plastic’ around. There is of course the depth factor to consider. You could be trolling over an awful lot of fish that are sitting deep down, but if they are not in the mood, they will not come up to investigate your boat wake, engine noise and lures or baits.

Lead downrigger weights, also known as ‘Bombs’ or ‘Cannonballs’ are available in 3lb, 7lb and 10lb versions.
