The Scotty 1020 original Kingpin release clip attaches directly to the downrigger line and the tension release is fully adjustable. The fishing line gets pinched in between the yellow pin and trapped within the body of the release clip. With a simple turn of the yellow nut, you can increase or decrease the amount of desired release tension.

A fully adjustable tension release clip that is excellent for use with braided fishing lines. The heavy mono between the wire clip and the release end  allows detection of small fish on the rod tip and permits easier hook ups.
